Honoring Mary Pelkowski
St John's University School Psychologist and Associate Dean
Mary H. Pelkowski joined the Division of Student Affairs at St. John's University in 1993. She holds a BA in Psychology, an MA in Rehabilitation Counseling, an MS in School Psychology and a PD in Higher Education! She is also an adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology in St. John's College and at Nassau Community College.
In her current role as Associate Dean, she has oversees the newly created Veterans Success Center, Community Service, Discover New York and also supervises RedZone, the STJ school spirit committee who promotes a healthy, spirited and vibrant campus environment to all students surrounding athletic events.
Her true passion is service. She is involved in several Community and University Committees. Such as St. John's Bread and Life, Ronald McDonald House, American Cancer Society | Relay For Life, League of YES and Give Kids the World. Her favorite quote is "We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give"
Mary's top priority is her family and friends. In her spare time she loves cheering on our Red Storm, and watching the New York Yankees!
